What type of USB cable is provided with the Morph? Can it be replaced?

Each Morph comes with a Sensel branded Micro USB to USB A cable. 

If you misplace your cable, you can replace it with any Micro USB to USB A that sends data. Here is a basic example from Amazon. 

There are some Micro USB to USB A cables that are for charging only. There's really no easy way to determine if a cable excludes the data pins. Your best bet is to try a new cable.
